When to call
Signs you may need furnace maintenance
A single symptom does not always identify a failed part. These common warning signs are a good reason to have the equipment checked:
- The furnace has not had an annual check
- You noticed new odors or sounds
- Heating bills are rising
- You want confidence before cold weather
Turn equipment off and seek prompt help if you smell gas, see smoke or sparking, find significant leaking near electrical parts, or suspect unsafe combustion. For a gas odor or immediate danger, leave the area and contact the gas utility or emergency services first.
